The Ethernet Media Coverter Series are primarity designed for large,high speed/bandwidth demanding workgroups that require expansion of the Fast Ethernet network.They can be used to extend the transmission distance between two Fast Ethernet Twisted-Pair devices via fiber cable transparently with no performance degrdation.
These converters feature a MDI/MDI-X crossover"push button" switch for direct connection to either the workstation , Switch or HUB.The network manager does not need to worry about the cable configuration (crossover or straight through)when establishing connection between RJ-45 ports.
In addition, Auto-Negotiation support allows the converter to operate in either full or half duplex mode.And this .
